Join the Revolution
One of the advantages of having a business school within the city is its access to the networks of business executives. In our executive briefings course, the school would invite an executive to be the guest speaker. For today's guest speaker, we had the Director of Advertising for Apple Computers. It was good, he talked about the great advertising campaigns Apple have had in the past, including the famous TV commercial that Apple did during the 1984 Super Bowl, and the "Think Different" commercial. He also mentioned about Steve Jobs' visionary zeal.
I just think Steve Jobs is an absolute marketing genius. Quite frankly, I think his far-reaching visions are revolutionary, and way ahead of his time. From promoting the world's first widely accessible computer (Macintosh) that had a user-friendly graphical interface (which Windows later copied), creating a highly successful animation company (Pixar) that put computer animated films on the world stage, and changing the way we purchase and listen to music (iPod), I'm simply at awe of how Steve Jobs revolutionizes entire industries.
By the way, Steve Jobs is almost a vegetarian; the only meat he does eat is fish.

Hi Dennis:
Chanced upon to your blogspot today while browsing and searching for new restauranteurs :-) So glad to read your blog today. I am a fan of Steve Jobs, still remember his last words during the recent commencement address at Stanford University - "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish." and this excellent quote “Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. I’m convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. Don’t settle [for less]. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
Hope all is well with your new business. Let us keep in touch. I am linking you to my blog. Cheers!

your neighborhood Indian food blogger :-)
So THAT's where I'm going wrong... But I don't have the willpower to turn vegetarian, let alone stay hungry... ;)
hi there...just catching up with 6 months of blog reading. got so caught up with online gaming that sort of took a long break from blogging.
now trying to get back into the swing of things.
and hope that your restaurant works up. who knows? maybe u'll see wena one day. ;)
Hi! Great blog! I was browsing and found yours. I am an Asian, love to eat Asian food and vegetarian!!! This is a perfect place for me!
I didn't know Steve Jobs was a veggie guy. Now I like him more.
vkn,
Welcome to our blog and thanks for the good wishes. I agree 100% with those words, if you want to succeed, you have to have passion in what you do. You've got a great blog, by the way. I've linked you as well.
yuen li,
If you have access to delicious vegetarian food, it doesn't take that much willpower. ;o) Also, knowing that 20 years from now, you'd have less health problems associated with cardiovascular disease, it helps too!
Wena,
Wow, haven't seen you in a looooong time. Those online games can get pretty addictive. I'm scared at the amount of time I would be spending on them if I got started, hehe. Hey that'd be awesome if we can see the great Wena one day. Did you know you're the first blog I've read? :o)
tomomi,
Welcome to the blog! Yeah you'd be surprised about who's vegetarian out there.
So, are you two EVER going to publish a cookbook... or did I miss it?
My husband and I are also in awe of Steve Jobs and his company. We watch all of his speeches about new products. We have SIX Macs in a home of five people (if we count the laptop), including one that is more than ten years old and still in use!
someone eating fish cannot be almost vegetarian. Either someone is veg or non veg. For me fish is same as chicken or cow or dog. You eat either, and you are a non veg. PERIOD. So Steve Jobs is a complete Non-Vegetarian.
alyx,
Six macs! Wow, that's awesome, hehe. I hear that the next big thing coming out are portable mpg video players.
kunsjoi,
To each their own, I would say. That's great that you choose to be vegan. To me, things aren't so black and white; there's a gradient on how "vegetarian" you are. If people consume half the meat they used to, it would be a huge benefit already. This is how we promote vegetarianism and not alienate or antagonize others. One step at a time.
