Kinta Restaurant
Alrighty, we're finally on our way to getting our building permits. Construction will start very soon. Sorry for the lack of updates, as we've been quite busy lately.
To separate our personal blog from the restaurant's, I've created a different blog that you will find on the restaurant's website. I present to you, ladies and gentlemen, our restaurant's website:
www.KintaRestaurant.com
There you will find Kinta's information and menu. You will also see the new blog in the "What's New" section. Be forwarned, although Kinta Restaurant is both vegetarian-friendly and vegan-friendly, it is not entirely vegetarian.

Congratulations Dennis & Phan! Love your restaurant website and the colourful, delicious, tempting food photos! Kinta is a nice name indeed. It always reminds me of Ipoh (I love Ipoh food).
I live upstairs, and after looking at all the pictures I am very excited about becoming a regular. Any plans for a little bar area?
mama bok,
Thanks! Now for the next step...the build-out and getting the restaurant open.
reid,
Thanks, yeah, it's been a long ride and the ride has only begun.
wena,
You should definitely visit sometime, we'll show you around POrtland. :o)
gracie,
Alrighty, one order of Soon Kueh for gracie coming up, hehe.
g,
Thanks! Yes, that's one of the most memorable thing about Ipoh, it's food. Seems like there're eateries everywhere over there, open from the whee hours of the morning to late through the night.
anonymous,
We won't have a full bar, but we'll certainly serve beer, wine, and sake. We're still thinking about having some stool seating, not exactly a bar area, but it'll make it easy to chat to the person next to you. :o)
We definitely want to make this a comfortable and enjoyable place for you to hang out. It'll be cool to have you as a regular ^_^
just why must you be so far far awayyyyyy.... i want to be there too...
Congrats Dennis & Phan!!!! You guys finally did it!
Congratulations on a key milestone... I have long aspired to do a restaurant project and I admire your rapid progress.
Let me know your opening date and I'll send you some congratulatory dragon beard candy :)

Thanks! It's only the beginning, gotta take care of what comes next...
jason,
I visited your site. Wow, so you quit your Microsoft job to strike it on your own starting an import business. That's very cool. Hey we'd love to try out those dragon beard candy, look kinda interesting.
anonymous,
Yahooo, a fellow neighbor, I love it! ^_^ We look forward to offering you and your wife a great place to dine out in the neighborhood.
